Romanian Aviation Day, a Celebration of Bucharest Airports Pros
July 20, the feast of St. Ilie, the patron saint of fearless flyers, is the day to celebrate the Romanian Aviation. This year, the event took place on Sunday, July 19, in Bucharest, where a military and religious ceremony was held at the Air Heroes Monument.
Bucharest Airports National Company was again one of the top Romanian aviation institutions to have laid wreaths in memory of the pilot heroes.
On this occasion, the Director of Bucharest Airports National Company, Sorinel Ciobanu, was awarded with the Badge of Honour of the Air Force, by Laurian Anastasof, Chief of Air Force Staff, "as a sign of appreciation for the high professionalism and contribution to the good conduct of joint activities with the Air Force".
