Night works on Henri Coanda Airport

Between July 20 and August 8, current repair works are being carried out to the road structure of the runway 1 at Bucharest Henri Coanda International Airport.

To conduct safe and secure airport activities and to minimize passengers’ discomfort, the repairs will take place only at night, from 10.00 pm to 08.00 am.  

Every night a surface of 800-1000 square meters is covered. The works involve milling a thickness of 10 cm of the existing asphalt mixtures and then spreading two new layers of asphalt.

Current works will be resumed after September 8 at the same steady pace until completion which will total 37,000 square meters.  

Bucharest Airports National Company assures the passengers and airlines that it has the technique and professional staff qualified in special operations on the airport and that it has made arrangements for safe operation of aircraft.
