Bucharest Henri Coandă International Airport, the very first Romanian airport accredited on ACI Europe Airport Carbon Accreditation Program
Bucharest Airports National Company (BANC) has achieved the ACI Europe Airport Carbon Accreditation for Bucharest Henri Coandă International Airport (BHCIA), as a result of the audit conducted by international experts in the field.
BHCIA is the first airport in Romania receiving this certification, the first level-"Mapping", as one of the top 90 airports in the world meeting the international criteria for being accredited in the field of analysis and reduction of carbon emissions.
Airport Carbon Accreditation is one of the most important programs of ACI Europe, being run by an independent body, whose members are representatives of the European Commission, the United Nations Program for Environment, the International Civil Aviation Organization, the European Civil Aviation Conference and the European Organization for Air Navigation Safety.
