Temporary Changes to Vehicle Access at Bucharest Henri Coandă International Airport
Due to the expansion of the construction area for the future “Aeroport Otopeni” metro station, starting Monday, 08.12.2025, the traffic flows for vehicle access from DN1 to the “Departures” and “Arrivals” terminals of Bucharest Henri Coandă International Airport have been reconfigured.
The road traffic routes in front of the airport have been reorganized onto new lanes built by the metro station contractor, including the decommissioning of certain areas of the public passenger parking.
Stopping and parking of private vehicles or public transport vehicles on the traffic lane in front of the “Departures” Terminal is no longer permitted.
To minimize inconvenience for passengers, dedicated drop-off routes have been established for those arriving at the airport by public transport, private cars, or taxis. The passenger drop-off area is located in the parking lot in front of the “Departures” Terminal.
Coaches and minibuses will exclusively use the elevated ramp of the “Arrivals” Terminal.
The parking area for coaches and minibuses, located at the base of the control tower (next to the “Departures” Terminal), has been closed.
For the safe management of road traffic in front of the terminal, we kindly ask all drivers to comply with the implemented traffic restrictions and temporary road signs.
Access routes are clearly marked, and authorized staff are present to guide vehicles.
We recommend that passengers allow additional time for their journey, considering the temporary changes to the traffic flows in front of the airport, introduced due to the construction works for the future metro station.
