Follow me, Follow Santa!

This year, Santa Claus once again traveled by airplane—this time aboard a TAROM Boeing aircraft—landing at Bucharest’s “Henri Coandă” International Airport! Very chherful and chatty, he arrived with his sack full of gifts at the Official Lounge, where the children’s party was in full swing, as Santa’s elves had already engaged the little ones in all kinds of dances, games, and contests.

Very chherful and chatty, he arrived with his sack full of gifts at the Official Lounge, where the children’s party was in full swing, as Santa’s elves had already engaged the little ones in all kinds of dances, games, and contests.

After the much-awaited ritual with presents, confessions, and promises, Santa Claus was picked up by a “Follow Me” car and, delighted to be driven around the apron by those who guide and escort aircraft, eventually made his way among our passengers, young and old alike, who were able to whisper their wishes to him.

The greatest surprise, however, came from the adults, for whom the encounter with Santa Claus became a moment of magic that suddenly brought back to the surface the child they had forgotten—their innocence, joy, and need to believe in miracles. They sat on Santa’s knee, hugged him, shared their stories, and went on their way with an incredible smile, visibly more optimistic and grateful for the unexpected emotion.
